The seven mosaic murals are entitled “Paint Horses”, “Appaloosa”, “Cutting Horse”, “Reining”, “Soapsuds”, “Wimpy” and “Arabian”. The Equestrian Multi-Purpose Building at the Will Rogers Memorial Center provides a covered ride-out and exercise area for equestrian activities. The artwork addresses the variety of horse breeds and equestrian events that the Center hosts for competitions and shows. Two of the murals honor historically important horses: Will Rogers’ favorite horse Soapsuds, and Wimpy P-1, the first accredited quarter horse of the American Quarter Horse Association in 1941.
